A Panoramic Elevator is an elevator that has at least one glass side, thus allowing views of the exterior to be contemplated. Due to the views they offer, sometimes from considerable heights, some of these lifts have become tourist attractions.

The Panoramic Elevators increase the feeling of light and space. Indeed, these elevators are part of the architectural design of the building and can become one of its most representative elements, especially in the atriums and lobbies of hotels and office buildings. The latest trend in architecture is to use completely transparent glass construction elements. Used in both traditional and modern buildings, glass elevators not only follow this trend but also contribute to the aesthetics of the building by giving it a minimalist, modern and elegant look.

The main construction material for Panoramic Elevators is glass or polycarbonate, since, by definition, at least one of the faces of both the cabin and the enclosure must use this material. As a consequence of the rigidity and resistance requirements, the type of glass used is usually laminated safety glass that meets the requirements established by the regulations. Currently, other materials such as transparent polycarbonate are also used.
